Integral Quadratic Constraint Analysis for Stabilization of the 3 State Moore-Greitzer Model

Abstract:

The 3 state Moore-Greitzer model is the nonlinear dynamical system introduced in 1980th to describe evolutions of pressure and flow from their steady-state values in an axial compressor (the common part of aircraft engine). For decades, it is one of few challenging examples in control theory, for which both state and output feedback designs are left as open questions. We show how IQC and other nonlinear control arguments can help in approaching the problems. The work is done in collaboration with Profs. R. Johansson, A. Robertsson, L. Freidovich and PhD-student A. Rubanova.
