  • Use the module LQ-control in CCSDEMO to find out the "root locus" of the closed loop poles, in the stationary case, for the different systems when the control weight is varied from 0 to infinity. Look at the influence on the control and the output signals. CCSDEMO is found at /home/ccs/demo/demo5.
  • Use the Web to find out more uses of Dynamic Programming and its origin.
  • Take a first order system, for instance Exercise 8:4.1 and assume that there are measurement noise. Compute and compare the different terms in the optimal loss function, Eq 8:5.24, How will the relation change if the system instead has i pole in the origin or in +2?
